Handbook, contract or written statement?

Written statement of employment particulars: required by law for employees and workers. GOV.UK says the main statement must be given on the first day, and the wider statement within 2 months.

Contract of employment: the agreement between you and your employee. GOV.UK is clear that the written statement is not the contract itself.
